Dear families,

During Refugee Week, we prayed again for refugees and asylum seekers throughout our world and remembered those especially who perished in the tragedy off the Greek coast this month, and the families who mourn them.

We pray that we will be the Body, broken and poured out for all...
May we live the Body of Christ in our world.
A body of compassion for those who struggle,
A body of justice for the silenced and marginalised,
A body of respect for the dignity of all,
A body of hope for a kinder world.
Embolden us, Eternal God
to live with eucharistic hearts
open to the call of the Gospel.

Amen.

Next week (Tuesday and Thursday) we have scheduled Parent Teacher Interviews. If you haven’t done so already, please login to PAM and book in a chat with your child’s classroom teacher. I encourage you to bring your child along to discuss their learning, celebrate achievements and set goals for the coming months. Schools have an important responsibility in helping to nurture and teach young people and we also recognise the essential role of the family in education. We will continue to promote positive home/school partnerships that build the capabilities of all our children. We thank parents and guardians for their ongoing commitment and support, and encourage those who are unable to attend on the scheduled days to make an alternate time to meet with your child’s classroom teacher.
